The Premier League always have three teams relegated at the end of every season, the last three teams on the league table will play in the Championship the following season. And since the establishment of the English Premier League as the successor-competition to the English First Division in 1992, only a small number of clubs can claim never to have been relegated from the league. 1. Liverpool
Liverpool has never gone on relegation since the inception of the Premier League in 1992, though they have finished bottom of the First Division in 1953-54 and also spent eight seasons there until earning promotion in 1961-62 season and since then they have not been relegated again.
2. Everton
Everton are one of six English clubs who have never been relegated from the Premier League since its creation in 1992.
The last time the Meyside team were relegated was in the 1950-51 campaign and they have been in the top-flight since 1954-55.
3. Arsenal
Arsenal on the other hand have never been relegated and had never played in the English Championship. The last time they got relegated was during the 1912/13 season, but gained promotion back into the Division for the 1919/20 season; and since the beginning of Premier League, Arsenal has never been relegated.
4. Chelsea
Chelsea only faced relegation during the 1987/88 season after losing to Middlesbrough in a relegation playoff, but actually returned after one season prior to them winning the Second Division title in 1988/89.
5. Manchester United
The last time Manchester United were relegated from the top league was in the 1973-74 season, but they bounced back in the 1975-76 season, and since then have never been relegated anymore.
6. Tottenham Hotspur
They have been in the English top league since the 1970s. Tottenham went on relegation last during the 1976-77 season, but returned back in the 1978-79 season
