1- Davido Music Worldwide
DMW stands out as one of the biggest and hottest record labels in Nigeria at the moment. It was formed in 2016 by popular Afrobeat star Davido and is home to a number of recording acts like Dremo, Peruzzi, DJ ECool, Liya, among others. However, its lead singer is none other than Davido, the founder of the label.
2 – Starboy Entertainment
Following his exit from E.M.E, Wizkid started Starboy Entertainment record label in 2013 with recording acts such as L.A.X, Maleek Berry and Legendary Beatz. However L.A.X and Maleek Berry later left the label, but new acts like R2bees, Efya and Terri joined.
With not many artistes from the label making waves lately, Wizkid remains the lead singer in the group.
3 – YBNL Nation
Yahoo Boy No Laptop better known as YBNL was founded in 2012 by popular Nigerian rapper Olamide and its one of the biggest independent record label in the country. Recording acts currently signed to the group are Olamide himself, Fireboy DML, DJ Enimoney, etc.

Following the disbandment of Mo’ Hits records, Michael Collins popularly known as Don Jazzy started Mavin Records in 2012. Recording acts under the label are Rema, Korede Bello, Ayra Starr,Johnny Drille, among others.
However, with plenty of hit songs lately, 21 year old Rema is currently the record’s lead singer.
5 – Marlian Records
On December 30th 2019, controversial Nigerian singer Naira Marley announced the launch of his record label “Marlian Records” and unveiled CBlvck, Zinoleesky, Mohbad and Fabian Blu as signed acts. Later on, artistes like Emo Grae and Lyta were added to the group. However, Naira Marley himself and Zinoleesky are the two lead singers in the label.
