Three Referees That Retired in the 2021/22 EPL Season

Following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season, three referees in the Premier League decided to hang up their boots after having a successful career in the league.

1. Mike Dean

( 54 years of age)

Mike Dean oversaw a total of 560 matches and was responsible for distributing 2,046 yellow cards and 114 red cards.

His final game, which took place on matchday 38 and was between Chelsea and Watford, was the one he officiated.

2. Martin Atkinson (51 years)

During his career as a referee, Martin Atkinson overs of 462 games, during which he issued 1,491 yellow cards and 67 red cards. In the match between Crystal Palace and Manchester City in September of04, he made his official debut in the English Premier League.

At Selhurst Park, he played in his final game of the 2021/22 seasons, a match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United.

3. Jon Moss (51 years old)

Moss oversaw a total of 275 games, during which he was responsible for doling out 893 yellow cards and 39 red cards.

His last game, which took place at the King Power stadium and involved Leicester City and Southampton, was the latter.

After hanging up his whistle, he transitioned into his new position as Select Group 1 Manager at the Professional Game Match Officials Limited.
