One of the famous musicians that have helped promote a good number of artists in the Nigerian music industry is Olamide.
The famous rapper signed and brought several artists into the limelight. However, I will be discussing with you some of the musicians who left his YBNL label after making fame and what they are currently doing;
• One of the most talented musicians who Olamide brought into the limelight is Adekunle Gold Popularly Known as AG Baby. He was signed into Olamide’s YBNL Label in 2015.
Under the label, he released multiple hit songs including Sade, Orente, and many others. It may interest you to know that he was the one that created the YBNL logo.
Adekunle Gold gained fame in the label before he left. According to reports, he left the record label after the expiration of his contract.
Today, AG Baby has achieved more success and has developed himself into a full-time Afrobeat singer. He has won multiple awards and has released more hit songs that are selling in Nigerian and outside the country. Some of his songs that are making waves in the industry include; Sinner, Mercy, One Woman, Win, and many others.
• Lil Kesh was brought up in the Nigerian music industry by Olamide. The young rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer was signed into the YBNL label, where he became famous for releasing hit songs like “Shoki” and “Lyrically”.
Lil Kesh left the label to establish his own after his contract the label got expired in 2016.
Kesh is currently signed to his label Young And Getting It, (YAGI), where he has released lots of hit songs that made waves in the country. His hit song ” Don’t Call Me” is currently making waves in the Nigerian music industry.
• Chinko Ekun is a talented rapper and songwriter who was formerly signed to Olamide’s YBNL label.
However, the indigenous rapper also left the record label after the expiration of his contract with the record label.
Chinko Ekun is still active in the music industry as he has attained recognition and fame. Since he left the YBNL label, he has worked with a good number of popular artists and had dropped hit songs that topped several music charts.
• Temmie Ovwasa popularly known as YBNL Princess is known to be the first lady signed to the label.
According to reports on several news outlets, YBNL Princess left the record label before her contract expires. Today, she is active on social media, especially on Instagram where she shares her content as an influencer.
• Promising young star, Lyta released his hit singles, Self Made and Monalisa under the YBNL label.
Sadly, he left the label due to some reasons. He once revealed that he was never signed to the label, as no official documentation was made between him and the label.
Lyta is currently signed to Marlian Records and has released a good number of songs under the label.
• Davolee became famous in the music industry after he was signed into YBNL in 2016. The talented rapper did lots of collaborations and released a good number of songs before he left the label.
Though nothing much has been heard from him, he is still active in the music industry.
Olamide has not stopped bringing talented singers into the limelight, as he has some talented music stars like Fireboy, Asake, and many others who are currently doing great jobs in the entertainment industry.
