Don Jazzy Reacts To The Video Of A Police Officer Spraying Pe.pper Spray On An Uber Driver (Video)

Nigerian record producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, known professionally as Don Jazzy, has reacted to the video of a police officer, spraying pepper spray on an Uber driver.

The music entrepreneur and audio engineer frown to the harsh treatment imposed on the unnamed Nigerian man, who is a supposed Uber driver.

On Wednesday, 20 October, 2021, Torixus reported that a supposed Uber Driver was manhandled by officers working under the Lagos state police command during the #Endsars protest that rocked several areas of Lagos state.

According to the video shared by the media company, police officers were seen dragging the young man, who resisted arrest. While pleading not to be arrested, a police officer was seen spraying pepper spray directly into the man’s eyes, an actions that has been frown by many.

Joining others to react to the video, the 38-year-old philanthropist, Don Jazzy, took to his Instagram page to condemn the act. While condemning the inhuman act, Don Jazzy said, “Tomorrow they will tell us no policeman sprayed tear gas directly into a man’s eyes. #endsars.”

He also posted the video on his social media account. Nigerians also commented below Don Jazzy’s post, while castigating the law enforcement officers for maltreating the man.

Recall, in October last year, Nigerian youths took to the streets of Lagos to protest against police brutality. The protest took another dimension after heavy shooting rocked Lekki Toll gate on October 20, 2020. Tens of people reportedly died during the shooting, a claim that was debunked many times by the Nigerian Government.

To commemorate the deaths that were recorded during the protest, many Nigerian activists staged protest at the Toll gate.
