Years ago, some actresses announced that they are taking a long break from acting, some never announced but it happened due to issues beyond their control, and some dumped their careers because they have nothing to show for it.

 

In a nutshell, every actor who dumped acting or took a long break from acting did that for specific reasons.

Those we thought we will not see on our TV screens again after taking a long break(Over 8 years break) have finally returned, and their fans are happy to see them again on their TV screens.

 

Below Are Four Nollywood Actresses Who Returned To The Entertainment Industry After Taking A Break

1. Mosun Filani – Mosun is a popular actress in the Yoruba movie industry. She took a long break from acting after getting married to popular politician and Lawyer, Kayode Oduoye in 2012.

 

The light-skinned actress made a comeback in 2021 in the movie, Ipe. She recently completed the production of her blockbuster cinema movie that starred A-list actors like Jim Iyke, Mercy Johnson, Shaffy Bello, and Lilian Esoro.

 

 

2. Maureen Solomon– Maureen Solomon Okereke is a renowned actress who graced our TV screens in the early 2000s. She dumped acting in 2011. But to my surprise, she returned to the Nollywood industry in 2020 and has starred in scores of movies.

 

 

3. Nkiru Sylvanus – After gracing our TV screens and being in the spotlight for years, she took a long break from acting in the early 2000s. But to my surprise, she returned in 2020 and has starred in scores of movies.

 

 

4. Caroline Ekanem Hutchings– In 2004, Caroline began acting and was one of the top Nollywood actresses in the early 2000s. After she got married, she was no longer seen in movies. In 2016, she made a comeback in the movie, Stalker. Then she took another break and returned in 2021.
