List of Artistes that Don Jazzy Brought Up In The Industry

Nigerian veteran singer, Don Jazzy, is one among the many Afro beat singers who did not only impact the Nigerian music industry with his unique songs, but also used the Mavin records music label to raise other music stars, some of which cannot tell their success stories without including Don Jazzy and the Mavin records music label.

 

Following the breakup between Nigerian legendary singers, Don Jazzy and D’banj, in 2012, Afro beat singer, Don Jazzy decided it was time to raise up other talented Nigerian music stars in his music label, Mavin records.

 

Such decision however paid off, as some of these artistes raised by Don Jazzy, have overtime gained international recognitions, while others made sure that they left their footprints in the music industry before venturing into other industries.

And so, here are the list of Nigerian artistes that owe their success stories to both Don Jazzy and his music label, Mavin records.

 

1. Tiwa Savage;

Nigerian veteran singer, Tiwa Savage, did not just rise out of the blues to become one of the most successful Nigerian female artistes in the industry, as she was showcased to the world by Don Jazzy and the Mavin records music label.

 

However, Tiwa Savage is no longer with Don Jazzy again and has moved on to another music record label.

 

2. D’banj;

Although D’banj and Don Jazzy parted ways in 2012, both artistes were incredibly powerful together, as they stormed the Nigerian music industry with their amazing songs and record label, “Mo’Hit”.

 

However, both artistes decided to part ways, following their artistic differences, although D’banj blames his fellow singer, Dr. Sid, for their decisions to do so.

 

3. Koredo Bello;

Koredo Bello was one of the reigning artistes in the Nigerian music industry few years back, as the talented singer was able to produce unique songs under the Mavin records music label.

 

The artiste however, was brought into limelight by Don Jazzy, although he is no longer in the business of singing.

 

4. Di’ ja;

Female Nigerian singer, Di’ ja, ensured that her impact was felt in the Nigerian music industry, following how she was able to collaborate with her fellow singers in Mavin records music label to produce good songs.

 

Di’ ja also produced her own songs under the management of Mavin records, although she is yet to release new songs.

 

5. Dr. Sid;

Doctor Sid is one artiste that will never be forgotten easily in the Nigerian music industry, following his collaborations with his fellow singers, Don Jazzy, D’banj and D’Prince.

 

However, things spiralled out of control and D’banj decided to part ways with his team members, leaving Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, Wande Coal and D’Prince to form the Mavin records.

 

6. Wande Coal;

Wande Coal was also a member of the Mavin records, following his recognition by the music label as one of the most talented Nigerian artistes in the industry.

 

However, Wande Coal is no longer with Mavin records and has moved on to form his own record label.

 

7. D’Prince;

Nigerian singer and younger brother to Don Jazzy, D’Prince, became prominent after he was signed into the “Mo’Hit” record label.

 

However, the talented singer is yet to release a new song, although he is still a member of the Mavin records music label.
