Living Legends: 10 Nigerian Celebrities Who Are Over 90 And Still Looks Good (Photos)

Seeing men and women who live over 50 years old in Nigeria is normal, but these days it is difficult to lay hold on someone who has lived up above 90 unless you search hard.

 

As difficult as it may seem to believe, there are famous citizens of Nigeria who were actually birthed within the time space of 1919 down to 1930, who are still enjoying life till today. These men and women of valor enjoyed great success and achieved a lot during their days before they finally went to relax their selves.

 

So, today I have decided to compile a list of these great Nigerian men who are living above 90 and still looks strong and alright. Let’s check them out below.

 

1. Charles Olumo

This veteran Yoruba actor Charles Olumo popularly known as Agbako, turned 96 this 2021 precisely on the 19th of February. He was celebrated by another famous actress called Funke Daramola.

 

This is actually a thing of joy because at an old age of 96, the legend still looks strong and smiles bright.

2. Blessing Akporode Clark

 

Born on the 16th of April 1930 is the great Blessing Akporode Clark. He is known as Nigeria’s permanent delegate to the UN in New York, and at age 91 still looks strong and healthy.

 

3. Solomon Adeniyi Balalola

 

Third on the list is Rev Dr. Solomon Adeniyi Balalola. He was birthed on the 20th of April in the year 1929 and is a retired Nigerian Baptist Pastor. He still looks strong even at age 92.

 

4. Mabel Segun

 

Mabel Segun was birthed in 1930 and still rocks even at age 91. She is an author of Children’s book and other short stories. She is also a poet and a playwright.

 

5. Saliu Adetunji

 

Saliu Adetunji was birthed on the 26th of August, 1928 and was crowned as the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan on the 4th of March, 2016. He is currently age 92.

 

6. Abayomi Adebayo Barber

 

Abayomi Adebayo Barber was birthed on the 23rd of October, 1928. He is a Nigerian contemporary artist who will turn 93 this year. He is still strong and also the mentor of the Abayomi Barber Art School.

 

7. Chief Edwin Clark

 

Chief Edwin Clark was birthed on the 25th of May, 1927 and was a politician during the administrations of Military Governor Samuel Ogbemudia and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon. He had also served as a Nigerian nationalist and Ijaw chief. He was able to achieve all of this between 1966 and 1975. He is presently 94 years old and still looks strong.

 

8. Afe Babalola

 

Birthed on the 30th of October, 1929 is Afe Babalola, a Nigerian lawyer who founded the Afe Babalola University. He is presently 93 years old and still rocking his old age with good strength.

 

9. Rosina Umelo

Rosina Umelo is popularly known for her works such as Surviving Biafra and The House in the Forest. She is also a writer known widely for her short stories, young adult literature books and children’s books. She is currently aged 91 years old, full of energy and strength.

10. Chief Akintola Williams

Last on the list today is Chief Akintola Williams who was birthed on the 9th of August, 1919. He is Nigeria’s legendary accountant who emerged as the first chartered accountant in Africa. He came into this world a year after the World War I ended and he is currently 101 years old.
