Funke Adesiyan is one of the exciting actresses to watch on TV, and is well-known for her roles in the popular movies “Eti Keta” and “Obinrin Ale”. Apart from her impressive acting skills, she is also blessed with fine curves.
The Ibadan-born actress who started out as a model, is a graduate of Performing Arts from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun state. In 2011, Funke added another feather to her cap when she was made the South-West coordinator for Mallam Shekarau’s presidential campaign.
Even though Mallam Shekarau did not end up becoming the President, that did not deter Funke from pushing her political career. In 2015, she ran for a seat at the Oyo State House of Assembly under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). But unfortunately for her, she did not win the election. And in 2018, she decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC), as she felt her political career will be better off under the ruling party.
In October, 2019, Funke was appointed as the Personal Assistant on Domestic and Social Events to the First Lady Aisha Buhari. And her appointment was approved by President Muhammad Buhari.
Politics is one of the direct ways through which people can continue their quota to society and create an impact on the lives of their fellow citizens, and seeing some of our young celebrities being involved in politics is really commendable. And as it is, it is certain that more of our celebrities will get involved in politics in the coming years.
