‘My mom used to buy us used clothes, and I wish she had stayed’ Omoni Oboli breaks down in tears as she mourns her late mom
Nollywood actress and movie producer Omoni Oboli has recalled some of her childhood experiences as she mourns her late mother.
In a post shared on Instagram, the actress said something triggered a thought about her mother today, and she started crying and wished she had stayed to reap and enjoy the fruit of her labour.
The actress recalled how her mother worked hard to get everything they needed and usually buys them used clothes (Okrika).
Omoni said she wanted to give her everything, build a beautiful mansion for her because she deserves it, but then she’s no more.
According to the mother of three, her mother instilled in her the can-do spirit and wanted her to achieve so much. She added she would forever make her mom proud.
She wrote: I’m always in my bag. If you know me, you know that but I also take time to get in my feelings…guess what, it propels me!

This woman hustled! She did everything she could to give us everything! She instilled the can-do spirit in me! I want to give her the world…alas I can’t so I cried but I cleaned my eyes and resolved once again that I will be ALL she ever wanted me to be and more! Newsnownaija recalls that Omoni Oboli recently took to social media to celebrate her late mother with a look-alike photo and revealed how she contributed to her success.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the mother of three said she chooses to honour her mother daily because of how she belied in her and knew she was meant for greatness.
Omoni Oboli said her mother wasn’t rich, but she taught her everything she knew, especially multiple income streams, and never sitting down folding her hands.
The actress added she carries and honours her memory daily by consistently showing up and taking massive action towards success.
