Crying is a skill in and of itself that only a few Nigerian actresses, such as Nkiru Sylvanus, often known as Ble-Ble, can pull off without appearing forced. When she sobs in movies, she has a peculiar expression that breaks your heart even before her tears fall.
Ble-Ble has been in the movie industry since 2001 and is regarded as one of the greatest in Nollywood. However, she dropped off the radar in 2011 after embarking on a brief political career that saw her serve in the cabinet of former Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha.
After her political career ended, Ble-Ble returned to acting and, of course, did not appear to have lost her touch, as she continued to dazzle many with her talents. However, there has been a significant change in Nkiru Sylvanus since her return to Nollywood that few have noticed.
The change I’m referring to is not in her physical looks or her movie roles, but rather in her decision to become not just an actress, but also an evangelist.
As an evangelist, Ble-Ble now strives to convert others to Christianity, primarily through public preaching. She takes advantage of any chance to promote the word of God, whether it is online or on the streets.
Since becoming an Evangelist, Ble-Ble has been seen preaching God’s word in churches and on her official Instagram account.
It’s now pretty common for Nollywood stars who thrilled us in the 1990s and 2000s to become pastors or evangelists. Unlike some who abandoned acting after becoming an evangelist, Ble-Ble has been able to strike a balance between entertaining fans and winning souls for God.
