Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has won the Best International Act Category at the 2021 BET awards amidst all other artists from different parts of the world.
The 2021 BET award night was held last night and themed ” Year of the Black Woman” to celebrate black women worldwide.
Sharing a video online, the superstar showed off his award plaque and bragged about winning the award three consecutive times.
Newsnownaija recalled that the Nigerian superstar duo Burna Boy and Wizkid were both nominated for the same category along with Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Young T & Bugsey (UK) and Youssoupha (France).
Another Nigerian fast rising artiste, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems also joined the league of nominees and was nominated for “Viewers’ Choice: Best New International act” category.
