Soso Soberekon Blasts Celebrities Mourning Over Death Of Sound Sultan

Nigerian music executive and member of Davido’s DMW Records, Soso Soberekon has come out on social media to blast celebrities who are mourning over the demise of veteran rapper and singer, Sound Sultan.

As reported earlier, Sound Sultan passed away after battling cancer of the throat and the news about his death was confirmed by a family member Dr Kayode Fasasi, through a statement and read;

“It is with heavy heart that we announce the death of multi -talented veteran singer, Rapper, Song Writer, Olarenwaju Fasasi AKA Sound Sultan.

“He passed away at the age of 44, following a hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma.

“He is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.

“We, his family will appreciate utmost privacy as we come to grips with this tragic loss.”

Following this heartbreaking incident, some fans of the singer as well as celebrities in Nigeria including Sound Sultan’s colleagues have taken to their respective social media page to mourn him as they pay their tribute to him.

However, Soso Soberekon is not impressed by the sympathy and condolatory messages some celebrities are sending to Sound Sultan’s family as he claimed no one every checked on him after the news of him being ill hit the internet.

He hinted that those posting him on their social media pages are hypocrites and he eulogised Sound Sultan as he described him a great guy and wished him a peaceful rest.

Sharing a photo of himself and Sound Sultan together, he wrote;

How many of you checked on him when you heard he was sick? The news was everywhere. Now everyone is posting now that he’s gone. Rest In Peace @soundsultan you were a very great & amazing guy.
