Nigerian singer and Grammy award winner Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has denied being in any competition with his friend Wizkid.
According to Burna Boy, Wizkid and himself are on different lanes so he is in no competition with him. Burna Boy made this disclosure during a recent interview with DJ Whookid which was later shared on Instagram on Thursday 8th July 2021.
The host asked Burna Boy how he feels whenever he is nominated for awards in the same category with his friend Wizkid. He explained that he was not in the same lane with Wizkid because they are both doing two different things.
He emphasized that the only thing that connects them is their origin and the love they have for each other. According to Burna Boy, Wizkid’s songs are mostly linked to women and real life.

“Nah, we’re on two very different lanes in life, you know? And the only similarity really, is the fact that we’re from the same place and we love each other, you get me? That’s what brings us together. It’s where we’re from and the love we have for each other. Other than that, we’re on two different lanes mehn. Wiz is about the b*ches, you get me? Wiz is all about the b*ches. Me? I’m about real life… and the b*ches.
