Yoruba Activist, Sunday Igboho Allegedly Arrested In Cotonou

Famous Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo fondly called Sunday Igboho has been allegedly apprehended by security operatives in the West African country.

According to reports, he was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic on the night of Monday after attempting to vacate Nigeria to avoid arrest by security operatives.

A source clued in on this plans to escape Nigeria said he had put together a perfect plan to help him flee the country through Cotonou and move to Germany.

Regrettably, security operatives got a hold of him.

Another source who is privy to the incident, said: “Sunday Igboho has been arrested in Cotonou. He was arrested about an hour ago.”

“He was supposed to travel to Germany through Cotonou this night. He wanted to leave Africa through Cotonou. He was arrested by security operatives in Cotonou.”

“They are planning to bring him back to Nigeria.”

The Department of State Services had pronounced Igboho wanted after its operatives carried out a deadly midnight raid on his apartment in the Soka neighborhood of Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital.
