The marriage of singer Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy, one of the defunct P-square, to Anita Okoye, has been the talk of the social media since yesterday after Anita filed a petition for divorce.
This was revealed in a Federal High Court, Abuja document which went viral on Friday and according to the document, it cited irreconcilable differences as the basis of the breakdown of the seven-year-old marriage.
Even though the couple’s marriage has not ended, with Rudeboy’s lawyer claiming he is yet to receive the divorce papers, we will be taking a look at 3 celebrity couples who were romoured to have divorced but are still living happily.
1. ChaCha Eke Fanni and Austin Fanni
In October 2020, The Guardian reported that Nollywood star, Chacha Eke has announced that her marriage to movie director Austin Fanni Ikechukwu is over.
According to reports, the actress in an emotional video she shared on her Instagram page disclosed that she is leaving the 7-year-old marriage and would someday share her story.
Five days later, the mother of three who welcomed her fourth child, and after this, VANGUARD reported that she has insisted that her marriage is intact and that she can never leave her husband and children.
2. Mide Martins and Afeez Abiodun
In November 2017, KEMIFILANI reported that Mide Martins has divorced her husband, Afeez Owo for allegedly cheated on her with her best friend, Zanzee.
According to report, Afeez Owo cheated several times on Mide with Zanzee who is a popular cloth vendor on Instagram. It was also disclosed that Mide stopped bring friends with Zanzee after she did her husband dirty by refunding him the money he paid for the land she sold to him.
Months later, VANGUARD reported that their marriage is still intact, admitting that they had series of problems which they overcame.
3. Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs
Even the oldest celebrity couple also faced some challenges before they got to where they are today.
Sometimes ago, Joke noted that there were times she wanted to opt out of the marriage but then their love keeps getting stronger. During this times, several reports about their divorce were flying around but while debunking them all, she said;
I remember during an argument, I packed my clothes with the drawer and I dumped it in my car, carried my baby and went to my father’s house.
When I got home the first person I see is my mum and she said what are you doing here? I began ranting and she said you don’t have a house or a room here, you better pack your bags and go home. 
My father sort of understood where I was coming from. Funnily, my husband called and asked, “When are you coming home?” That was the first time and I did it a couple of other times.”
