There are legendary actors who amazed us with their roles in martial art movies, actors who made action movies much more interesting with a mix of martial art skills such as Tai Chi, kickboxing, Taekwondo, Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jit-Jitsu, Judo, Wing Chun, Wushu and so on. In this post, I’m going to share with you some of these legendary actors, actors you might find hard to forget due to their sensational roles in martial art movies.

1. Jackie Chan
Jackie chan is a name that will hardly be forgotten when it comes to action movies. He made marital art films fun to watch. During his prime, he amazed many with his Kung Fu skills, stunts and humour. Some of his notable movies include Drunken Master, Armor of God, Dragons forever, Rush Hour, The Tuxedo, Mr nice guy and Shanghai Knights.
Jackie Chan now appears less on-screen due to his age. He has received different global recognitions, which includes been starred on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars.
2. Jet Li
The legendary Chinese actor and martial artist Jet Li thrilled many with his role in different Chinese movies, his sensational martial art skills made him an outstanding actor. A few of his notable movies include Fearless, The forbidden kingdom, Fist of legend, The Sorcerer and the White Snake, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, and The mummy.
Jet Li has aged and as such, he appears less on screen.
3. Donnie Yen
Donnie Yen, popularly known for his role in the movie IP man, has amazed many with his mix of martial art skills such as Tai Chi, kickboxing, Taekwondo, karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wushu and so on. Some of his notable movies include Legend of the wolf, IP Man, the Iron Monkey, twin effect, Dragon tiger gate, Flashpoint, Kung Fu Killer, Bodyguards and Assassins, and Mulan.
4. Wu Jing
Wu Jing thrilled many with his role in some popular Chinese movies, action movies to be precise. The Legendary Chinese actor is best known for his roles in films such as Tai Chi Boxer, Fatal Contact, the SPL films, Wolf Warrior and its sequels, Drunken monkey, Twin mission, Invisible target, Legendary Assassin, The wandering earth and a lot more.
5. Sammo Hung
Sammo Hung is another legendary Chinese actor who thrilled us with his role in martial art movies. He is best knows for his role in different action movies such as knockabout, The monkey fist monk, Enters the fat dragon, Project A, The magnificent butcher, Kung fu Cook, Martial law series, Kills zone and so on. Sammo hung has aged and as such he appears less on screen.

6. Tong Jaa
Tatchakorn Yeerum popularly known as Tony Jaa is another actor who thrilled us with his role in martial art movies. Some of his notable movies include Ong bak, Protector, Triple threat, Jit Jitsu, Spirited killer, Monster Hunter, The bodyguard and so on.
7. Late Bruce Lee
Even after his death, the legendary actor Bruce Lee had prominent Influence not just in the Chinese movie industry but also in modern combat sports such as Judo, Karate, Mixed martial arts, and Boxing. Bruce Lee was a great martial artist who thrilled many with his roles in popular movies such as: Enter the dragon gate, Way to the dragon, First of fury, Game of death and The big boss.
