2 Reasons Why No One Should Condemn Angel Because Of The Types Of Clothes She Chooses To Wear

One of the Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ housemates who have making headlines for a while now is Angel Smith. There have been so many controversies over the kind of clothes she wears in the house. She has set so many tongues wagging over her style of dressing in the house.

She has not only be scolded over her dressing, some people have harshly criticized, rebuked and castigated her severely on different social media platforms without having any iota of idea of what led her into doing what she does.

People tend to judge base on the surface alone. No one knows what Angel is going through or what led her into the kind of lifestyle she is leaving now. People just want to shame her without getting to know her or put themselves in her shoes to understand her a lot better and know why she does what she does.

Every action that we make in life is always instigated or inspired by something(s) and it would really be unfair to judge Angel based on the clothes she wears without understanding the reason why she wears those clothes. Judging people with half-baked information is totally wrong.

Two other reasons why people should not condemn Angel

1. No one should condemn Angel because she has a different reality that many people cannot relate with. Angel had an emotional breakdown yesterday evening. She bursts into tears and laments about her ordeals in life. Her breakdown and the story she shared made me realize that her lifestyle was actually shaped by a number of traumatizing experiences she had battled while she was growing up.

Angel is just 21 years old but she has gone through many depressive episodes which contributed a lot to who she is now. As a child, she said she was told that her mother tried to abort her countless times. According to her, her mother sadly passed away when she was very young and she was left with the responsibilities of taking care of her aged grandmother.

She said that the first guy she ever loved in her life also died which really shattered her heart to the extent that she became suicidal.

The fact that Angel always has a smile on her face has made many viewers think she is always happy. Ironically, she is going through a lot but using the smile to cover up her pain. The ordeals she had experienced are too overwhelming for a 21yr-old girl. Instead of condemning her, people should rather support her with prayers.

2. Angel needs more support rather than condemnation. Someone who had been through series of depressive episodes like Angel, requires the help of a professional counselor rather than to be body-shamed or slut-shamed by people. Angel is battling with some mental health challenges and rather than condemning her, she needs help.

There are so many positive sides of Angel that people are yet to realize. Angel is non-materialistic, she is loving, caring, entertaining and fun to be with.
