African Best XI: Two Nigerian Players Make The List.

Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy (Senegal).

The Chelsea Shot Stopper has been at his best for a few years now and no African goalkeeper looks to dethrone him from this spot. The 30-year-old has been consistent and outstanding in goal for both club and country.

Centre Backs: Joel Matip (Cameroon) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal).

Kalidou Koulibaly has been at his razor-sharp best for both club and country maintaining his great performance defensively. Joel Matip on the other hand has shone in the Liverpool team with his regular stunning performances at the club.

Wing Backs: Calvin Bassey (Nigeria) and Achraf Hakimi (Morocco).

Calvin Bassey has recently hit the spotlight following his great performance for Rangers this season. The Nigerian International has been superb in his left-back position and hopefully, he maintains this form of his for a long period. Achraf Hakimi will definitely be on this list due to his elite display for Morocco and Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old has also been very consistent which is a key factor behind every great player.

Midfielders. Franck Kessie (Ivory Coast) and Naby Keita (Guinea).

Franck Kessie and Naby Keita have been impressive both for their clubs and country and they definitely worth being on this list.

Wingers: Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).

This list will definitely have Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, two players that have been at their very best for several years now.

Strikers: Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang (Gabon) and Victor Osimhen (Nigeria)

Since Aubameyang’s move to Barcelona, the Gabonese International has been outstanding banging goals regularly for the Spanish Giants. Victor Osimhen has also shown his absolute brilliance for Napoli this season and is deserving of a spot on the list.
