Bright Okpocha popularly known by his stage name Basketmouth is a Nigerian comedian and actor, he was born on the 14th of September 1978 in Lagos State Nigeria. He is an elite comedian, who has organized successful and popular standup comedy concerts like Basketmouth Uncensored across the country. Basketmouth organized a comedy challenge on Instagram, it is called the #TwoThingsChallenge which sparked criticism from his fans, after a young fan posted a video of him saying offensive things relating to sex, with a child in close view in the video.
Basketmouth did both his primary and secondary school education in Apapa Lagos, Nigeria and then he went on to pursue a degree at the University of Benin in Edo state, where he studied sociology and anthropology with his brother Godwin.

From 2005 to 2006 Basketmouth was granted the honour of the National Comedy Award and the awards for Best Stand-up Comedian of the Year. Basketmouth appears as part of the cast in the Africa Magic show ‘My Flatmates’ in 2016. Basketmouth in a recent video hosted Nigerian Billionaire Femi Otedola in his home.
Basket mouth was born and raised in Lagos State but he is an indigene of Abia State, eastern part of Nigeria.He discovered he has a skill in drumming in the year 1991 followed by taking up rapping in 1994. He then formed an amateur group called “Da Psychophats” which is consist of seven members and they started attending shows and rapping in 1995, however they broke up before releasing any official project.
