Having trending hit songs coming from the 21st century musicians like Burna boy, Wizkid, Davido and lots of other next rated artist is cool, but does that mean we should forget about some of our musicians whom we danced to the tone of their music back then?
You would bear me witness that the 2000s was indeed a great decade for music in Nigeria, as we were blessed with musicians who really knew how to connect with their listeners. Some of us who knew most of these artists when we were growing up would find it difficult to forget the songs we heard from them because of the permanent marks they left in our hearts.
Even though some of the beats of the songs we listened to back then isn’t exactly what we get nowadays, it didn’t really matter because these artists had the ability to connect to us musically, and had a way of making us dance to the tone of their music not minding whether the lyrics was really put together or not.
So today, I want to take some of us on a throwback to the late 2000s, when we really had some hit jams like “Ijoya”, coming from an artist like Weird MC, “Kolomental” by Faze and lots more. Check out the hit songs of these 10 great Nigerian musicians and how they currently look like.

Finally on my list is Mocheddah. The young girl who gave us the hit song “Ko Ma Roll” is now a fully grownup beautiful lady.
