The father of Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, a 21-year-old University of Lagos Mass Communication student who reportedly stabbed Super TV Chief Executive Officer Usifo Ataga to death, has been released by the Lagos State Police Command.
On Wednesday, June 23, Chidinma’s father was arrested with her for resisting arrest. On Wednesday night, the police arrived at their Alagomeji flat to take Chidinma away. Her father, though, was adamant that his daughter could not have committed such a crime and fought her detention aggressively. He was later apprehended by the cops.
The police have now released Chidinma’s father on bail following Chidinma’s public confession to the murder. Nkechi Mogbo, the lady who ran the service apartment where the University of Lagos undergraduate allegedly killed Ataga, was also released on bond.
According to the police command, Chidinma’s father and Mogbo were released since Chidinma confessed to committing the crime on her own.
