One of the celebrities who overcame all odds to become successful is Yinka Ayefele. The popular Nigerian gospel singer had an accident which was his turning point to stardom, and in this article, we would be taking a look at how Yinka Ayefele went from surviving a car accident in 1997 to owning 4 radio stations in Nigeria.
On December 12, 1997, Yinka Ayefele was involved in a car accident, which damaged his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair.
Following this, he thought he won’t be able to make it in life again since he couldn’t walk on his feet, however, little did he know that God had a better plan for sparing his life.
After spending about 9 months in the hospital, his friend, Kola Olootu visited and advised him to put some songs together since he is into music, and this resulted in the release of his debut album titled, Bitter Experience in 1998. This album brought him into the limelight, and after that, he released the second album (sweet experience) then the third, and since then, he turned music into his profession.
Music opened doors of blessings for Yinka, and also led to him being recognized as one of the top gospel singers in Nigeria.
Three days ago, the singer announced the launch of his new radio station in Nigeria – Fresh FM Osogbo. He made this announcement via his Instagram page, as this new station makes it his fourth in Nigeria.
His first radio was situated in Ibadan, Oyo state, before it was demolished for contravening the state’s planning laws, while the second one is in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state, and the third in Abeokuta Ogun state.
Yinka Ayefele is a living testimony of trauma to stardom.
