Popular Nigerian Celebrities That Hold A Doctorate Degree

Nowadays, as the entertainment industry comes up with new talent, to bring the best buy varieties of entertainment to our TV screens, most youths have choosing not to complete their education to chase their dreams, most of them imitate popular celebrities that didn’t complete their’s and want to follow their steps, not knowing that everyone’s faith isn’t the same. Although, not all celebrities are dropouts most of them are well educated which is a good practical example. Below are most of the celebrities that hold a doctorate from the University.

legendary Nigerian musician, 2face received an honorable degree in music in the year 2016, from the University. It was one of the big achievements he had attained, he was a School dropout in chase of his music career but later covered up.

2. LINDA IKEJI

Linda is a popular internet blogger and a mum of one. She’s one of the celebrities with a Ph.D. degree. Linda received a Honda honorary doctorate in August 2018, from Trinity International University, Georgia. This was a good achievement and a contribution to the media.

3. HELEN PAUL

The popular Nigerian actress and comedian bagged a Ph.D. recently from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Helen Paul had the whole entertainment scene come for her convocation on the 4th of April. She dedicated the Ph.D. to her mum after revealing some things in her speech, she said, “I HELEN PAUL dedicate this to my mum, you gave birth to me out of rape, they told you I wouldn’t amount to anything I grew up hearing from family members; being called a “Bastard”.

“I dedicate this to every mother, may God make you strong enough to survive and enjoy the fruit of your labor.”

4. MR P

From the defunct P-Square duo, popular afro-pop singer Peter Okoye also known as Mr p was conferred with a doctorate, doctor of arts from Benin University, Edo State. He brought to his Instagram handle saying, “Dear Team P! It’s a great honor to be decorated by a distinguished educational institution, Who has recognized my contribution to Dance and Music as well as my support for the youth in the entertainment industry? Thank you @escaeakpakpacampus @escaeunibenin for this honor Dr(Hon) Peter Okoye Aka Dr. P.”

5. TIWA SAVAGE

Famous female Nigerian singer and award winner, Tiwa Savage has received her honorary doctorate from the University of Kent, United Kingdom. She completed a degree in accounting and was awarded during the ceremony at Canterbury and Rochester cathedral. Reasons were given by the university for presenting the honorary degree to the superstar.
