World’s most expensive Pigeon sold for N730 million
A Belgian racing pigeon simply known as New Kim has been auctioned for 1.6 million euros (N730m).
A wealthy Chinese pigeon racing fan and collector bought the two-year-old bird at an auction that ended on Sunday, 15th November, The Indian Express reports
Pascal Bodengien, Head of the Belgian pigeon federation, told The Associated Press:
“Everybody is interested in our pigeons.”
While Bodengien welcomed the sale of a pigeon at 1.6 million euros, he warned off people who may be interested in going into the sport for financial gains.
He said: “Anybody thinking about getting into our sport to get money out of it had better think again and move to another sport.”
