In the words of many actors and actresses in the Nigerian movie industry, “Nollywood does not pay”. That is why for many actors and actresses in the Nigerian movie industry, it is imperative that they find other streams of income to supplement the income they get from acting. One very viable way a lot of people turn to when it comes to savings and investments is real estate.

 

Real estate is one industry that never ceases to turn around a profit it seems. When people have money and are looking for what to it, a lot of people go into real estate and just like many are doing, so are some of our favorite Nollywood actresses.

 

1. Nkechi Blessing

As of December 1st, 2021, Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing became appointed as the managing director of Ojulowo-Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited. Ojulowo-Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited is a chain of business which comprises five businesses – Splash Estate Limited, Omoluabi Estate, Homes and Construction Limited, Coded Media and Allied Concepts Limited, Oodua Estate Limited, Omoluabi FM and a foundation, Jaw Jaw Africa Community Media Support Foundation.

Speaking about the appointment, Nkechi Blessing said:

 

I have always wanted to venture into the line of business because my dream isn’t just to sell properties but to ensure that I help people who never thought they could own a house become landlords in their life time

 

2. Omotola Jalade Ekeinde

Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has openly said that her other passion besides entertainment is real estate. In fact, on Omotola’s Linkedin profile, she is listed as a real estate manager.

 

After the pandemic, the first job Omotola officially went back to according to her social media was to a site. She posted on May 22, 2020 along with the picture above:

3. Mercy Johnson-Okojie

 

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie this past December signed a brand ambassador deal for Henod Luxury Homes, a real-estate company which happens to be owned by none other than Mercy’s husband, Prince Odi Okojie. Not only is real-estate the family business, Mercy too has now gotten into it through this avenue.

 

4. Genevieve Nnaji

 

Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji completed her estate in Apo Dutse, Abuja and took to social media to show off the completed estate. During its development, Genevieve had been showing off the property under construction so it was only right that when work finished, she would also show us the completed work. Congratulatory messages poured in for Genevieve who has now firmly planted her feet in real estate but still acts from time to time.

 

5. Chika Ike

 

Another actress who has gone on full out in the real estate space is Nollywood actress, Chika Ike. Chika who has been talking about her love for real estate for years now posted this recent picture on December 20, 2021 captioning it:

Chika is still very active in the real estate space and Flip Script Homes seems to be doing really well.
