From 13 Years In Ghetto To A New Apartment: How Willams Uchemba Changed The Life Of A Poor Family

Popular Nollywood actor, Williams Uchemba is also a philanthropist with a charity organization. The actor is well known for his generosity and funny roles in Nollywood movies.

In this article, we would be taking a look at how the actor helped a family who has lived for over 13 years in the ghetto, by giving them a better life and also moving them to a multimillion naira apartment for their convenience.

According to the actor, he once went into the ghetto with the intention of distributing some palliatives during the Covid-19 pandemic, but on his way around the area, he discovered a family living in a very heartbreaking condition.

When the actor was going around in the ghetto, he saw a little girl reading her books on the pavement. Williams Uchemba, who was attracted by the young girl’s seriousness, went ahead and asked her where she lived.

However, the actor was shocked about her condition of living. The small girl, Chiamaka, her sister, Chisom, and their parents, Mr and Mrs. Chukwudi, all lived in a house which was made from wood and covered with an old deteriorated zinc roof with several pieces of cartons.

According to the actor, the family’s house also gets flooded whenever there is a heavy downpour.

Due to all these, Williams Uchemba, who was moved with pity, left after distributing the palliatives as he also assured the family of a better standard of living.

On Thursday, May 21, 2020, the kindhearted actor fulfilled his promise as he took the poor family out of the slum and moved them to a new multimillion naira house he got for them.

The family’s joy knew no bounds as they kept thanking him and also praying for him in the video the actor shared via his Instagram page.
