Some Claims In The Nigerian Entertainment Industry That Are Not True (photos)

Some of the things we assume in the Nigerian entertainment industry are different from what they are in reality. There are several common misconceptions about some celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

However, I think it is time to clear the air on some of these misconceptions. The following rumours about some pairs of celebrities in the entertainment industry are not true;

#1. Nkem Owoh is the husband of Chinwe Owoh

Some entertainment lovers have assumed popular Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh (Osuofia) is married to veteran Nollywood actress Chinwe Owoh because they bear the same surname. The truth is that they are not husband and wife, sometimes, people bear the same family name despite not being related. Nkem Owoh is married to Ngozi Nkem Owoh, not the Nollywood actress.

2. 2Baba is a brother to fellow Nigerian singer, Joe El

Though the two singers have facial resemblance and speak Idoma fluently, they are not related. It may interest you to know that Innocent Ujah Idibia (2Baba) is from Otukpo town in Benue State while Joel Amadi hails from Kaduna State, his father is a native of Zikpak in southern Kaduna State and his mother from Otukpa, Benue State.

#3. Obi Okoli is the father of Nollywood actress, Uju Okoli

Most of us have assumed that Nollywood actor Obi Okoli is the father of the beautiful Nollywood actress, Uju Okoli. This is another rumor that is not true. The man said to be the father of the actress, Obi Okoli hails from Anambra State while Uju Okoli is a native Akokwa in Imo State. They are are not related.
